Since my graduation in 2005 I have been working in the private sector in Reykjavík, Iceland. I have since then gotten my MSc in Movement Science and shortly thereafter a specialization in sport physiotherapy. The main focus of my work is to help people with general physical complaints, related to shoulder, knee and hips, pre and post-op orthopedic injuries of all ages. In my work with athletes and dancers where the focus is on movement analysis and how to use that as a prevention and rehabilitation of injuries.
As a physiotherapist my aim is to help and educate people about their health, help them regain strength and flexibility and move on from their injuries or complaints.
I am a member of the Medical Faculty at the Physiotherapy department at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik. My work is to teach students the fundamentals of Physiotherapy, examination and treatment of upper and lower limb; shoulder, knee and hip. I am also a member of the revision board for M.Sc thesis and research students.
Along with my physiotherapy work I teach couple dancing, salsa and kizomba.
